BOY WITH CHICKEN

This piece was inspired by the 19th century sculpture by Italian master Adriano Cesioni, titled 'Enfant auCoq' (Child with Cockerel). This reinterpretation expresses the struggle and desperation of trying to hold onto something wanted, craved or selfishly loved, and the opposing anguish, fear and discomfort of escaping this imposed oppression. But, there is also a comedy pantomime element

MATERIALS

Made from car clutches, retired tools, cutlery, mechanical salvage, bicycle and motorbike sprockets chain wheel rims and gears. Tunic made from aircraft turbine.
